Magnifica Allegra Ginevra Soave da Napoli (she/her) was born in a villa on an estate on the fertile hills overlooking the city of Naples in the Kingdom of Naples (current day Italy) in the early 1500s. Part of a large family, I help oversee the household as well as the workers in our fertile gardens, vineyards, and orchards. However, I often travel to the surrounding cities for household business and join pilgrimages to Rome and various shrines, as is right and proper for the faithful to do.
Time in the home is spent practicing and teaching various arts, specifically bobbin lace making (a specialty of mine), along with spinning, weaving, cooking, singing, dance, storytelling. I also enjoy heraldry and matters of protocol. My symbol is a winged lion.
In the SCA: Companion of the Order of the Pelican, Order of the Evergreen (bobbin lace), Award of the Sapphire, founder of the GryphonShawl fiber arts demo group (Award of the Grove), one of the original members of the Commedia del'Arte group i Scandali (Award of the Grove). I enjoy dance, fiber arts, court heraldry, bardic, SCA anthropology, teaching, music, research, baking, archery, flirting, and and engaging in shenanigans. I am known for the bells I wear. Giving great hugs is my superpower. And being Baroness of Flaming Gryphon with my husband as Baron has been one of the best experiences of my life.
